Why Owners Hire ECS

We Do Not Design or Build Construction Projects. We Lead Them and Protect the Owner's Best Interests - From Preconstruction Until the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

Projects can fail from not having experienced, independent, construction leadership. 


Unlike contractors, construction managers, or design firms, ECS does not profit from scope expansion or project cost escalation. Nor is ECS beholden to using architects, engineers, or contractors simply because of their reputation or their mutual industry friends. Instead, we vet prospective firms for cost, performance, and availability to find those that best match the Owner's needs. 


Florida's ongoing construction boom means there is a shortage of engineers, architects, and construction staff. Industry workload is high and employee turnover is common. The project manager a contractor assigns for their construction work may lack the training or time to perform as expected. As a result, Owners risk schedule delays, cost increases, and workmanship issues. 


For Owners to minimize risk and get treated fairly, they must have an independent, owner-aligned, construction leader.

✅ Cost Control: We control the project budget, provide financial tracking, review and negotiate change orders and contractor claims, and protect Owner interests in contracts.


✅ Schedule Adherence: We monitor engineering and architectural design services and contractor progress to avoid schedule slippage and to get Owner assets operational as soon as possible. 


✅ Owner-Aligned Representation: We objectively filter every project decision through one standard - what best protects the Owner's best interests? We also ensure the Owner maintains decision authority at every stage of the design development and construction. 


✅ Executive Level Reporting: We lead ongoing Progress Meetings with the design, construction, and Ownership teams to foster transparency, identify and resolve issues, track progress, and record "Action Items" for completion (including the name of the responsible person and their completion date). Our Executive Progress Reports keep Owners informed and projects running smoothly.
